Well, it looks as though we'll actually be moving to the new building early - October 16th. The animal facility and biosafety level 3 labs aren't ready, so most of Medical Microbiology can't move, and we've been pushed up. Better start packing up, and hope the water in the new building doesn't change any of my phenotypes...
We're having a cocktail party tonight! Time to learn how to mix a proper Wisconsin brandy old fashioned.

Phew!
Two weeks of craziness, but I made it! Presentation went well (it's a good thing I wore a tie, they took pictures!), the class I'm teaching looks like it'll be fine, and the data is shaping up nicely:
Mmmm... Mass spectrometry! They're trying to turn me into a biochemist, but it's all right. Perhaps I'll discover something interesting. The trick is to do it before we have to move to the new building in November!
